Seth MacFarlane is bringing Clive Barker’s Books of Blood to Hulu

Our friends over at BleedingCool.com report that Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy, Ted, The Orville) has partnered with Hulu to create a horror series based on Clive Barker’s Books of Blood. The Books of Blood is a multi-part anthology of short stories that were released in the early 80’s that propelled the “Prince of Horror” to notoriety. Many of the stories found within have made their way to the big (and small) screen like Midnight Meat Train (2008) starring Bradley Cooper, Rawhead Rex (1986) and most famously Candyman (1992) starring Tony Todd and Virginia Madson.

This is an interesting move for MacFarlane as he has built his career on fart jokes and slapstick comedy. Hopefully, he’ll find a way to translate the excellent words of Clive Barker and hold true to their absolutely horrifying origins.
